Saturday: This summer I have to choose between working at Broadstone again and going back to Philmont. I'll be happy either way as long as I get to do one. I have to go to one of the orientations for Wilmington at some point. If I get Teaching Fellows, I have to be at a meeting in Raleigh on June 19. The Philmont crew leaves on the 18th; I'd have to meet up with them later, go on a plane and a bus by myself. It would be really convenient if I was an alternate and didn't have to go to that meeting. I also have yet to hear from Jude, so I'd better e-mail her and tell her that another opportunity has come up.

Sunday: Didn't get Teaching Fellows. Didn't get hired back at Broadstone. Philmont, I'm coming home!

I don't really care about Broadstone or Teaching Fellows anymore, I'm just glad to finally have something solid to answr with instead of "I'll know soon." In lesser news, I had a camping trip this weekend and it kicked ass. Alex cooked portabellas stuffed with crab meat, steamed cabbage, and pecan pie, among other things. The children all got hypothermia, and we had to carry one on a stretcher down the mountain. Slept on the van because I forgot my sleeping bag, and made my bowl out of tin foil because I forgot that too. Basically I took nothing but the clothes on my back and a pocket knife. The view was awesome, and I'd rather be back in the woods again than anywhere else.
