A little rant, most of the same as always, this time about my current co-worker at the mountain. He used to be cool, and chill, and just an all-around nice guy. What happened? Jesus.
Shut the hell up, you pompous, self-righteous little bastard. Somehow you think you sound inspiring and compassionate, but ever since you got "saved" you've been acting like a complete jackass. That's right. You're really not a good representation of Christians at all, what they should be anyway. But you're a perfect representation of what they are. "Oh, he'll be alright; I'm praying for him." And in that matter-of-fact tone too, that's what I don't get. Where the hell do you get off? Nevermind the scientific research our species has conducted to know as much as possible about the human body and its ailments. Nevermind what's probably more than a century of combined medical training and experience of his team of doctors. No, it's your praying that'll do it. Even if there is a God or an invisible Flying Spaghetti Monster who will magically reach down with his noodly appendage and perform a miracle, what makes you think you have anything to do with that? Just because you asked him to? Or is it because you take every chance you find to talk about how you quit cussing and jacking off when you found Jesus? "Ever since I got saved, ever since I got saved." That's all I ever hear. What the hell was wrong with you before that there was that much improvement? And most of it is shit you should have been doing anyway, without having to have Jesus tell you so. Shit like having a work ethic, or maybe a little sense of propriety, not that you have either now. But I bet you can tell me exactly where in the Bible it says that a man is only worth the fruits of his industry. You think your little testimonies of what a better person you became are inspiring, but they're really just more proof that Christianity is composed of only the worst sorts of people, and totally unecessary for those of us who are already decent and industrious human beings. If the only thing Jesus gave you was a notch up the social ladder to a notch below normal, what need do normal, decent, logical, compassionate people have for Christianity? Drawing on your testimony (that of a "true" and devout Christian), average Christians clearly must be the dregs of society. And sweet Christ, you're annoying, but that has nothing to do with Jesus, just you being immature and ignorant. Speaking of ignorance, I've said this before, but if you don't know a little history, you don't know shit about a damn thing. If you think a theocracy would be so great, read a little bit about Akhenaton or Ayatollah and get back to me. Or maybe the Papacy itself would be a better example. And the next time you get so worked up about the wars in your little holy land, just remember that there hasn't been peace over there since... ever, and this is not gonna be the end of it, and creating Israel didn't help shit. And if you think it's all the Muslims' fault, just take note of the fact that the same war has been going on in every corner of the world since anybody ever had religion. No, I don't blame God, but I do blame the belief in God. Only evil has ever come of it, and that includes your own damn self. Oh, but you'll never get lost, not on your path. Cause I guarantee, keep up your little attitude, and everybody you meet will tell you directly where to go. Try getting your nose out of the Bible and take a look at the world. Sure, it's good to read and educate yourself, but educate yourself about what you're reading too. The Bible you're reading is a copy of a copy of a translation of a copy of a translation of a selection of copies of manuscripts decided upon by a particular group in power at a particular place and time, and every single one of them, and every writer, translator, publisher, priest, and middle man inbetween had his own reasons for writing what he did the way he did. Of course Christ fulfills all the prophecies about the Messiah in the Bible; those are the descriptions somebody chose to leave in or out so that the religion could work under scrutiny of the text. But back to my point - you're an asshole, and you need to chill the fuck out. You say you're not trying to convert anybody, but I know what you're doing talking like you do. There's no call for it. Nobody likes that guy, not even other Christians. In fact, especially other Christians don't want some punk kid preaching to them any more than I do. I'm used to the fact that Christians, especially born-agains like you, are asswipes, but you even alienate people of your own faith. What a jerk.
Also, you're not black and you never will be.
